Well folks,

I'm still in Bangkok. In Thailand, the country where a cockroach can beat you at arm-wrestling and a common cold can kill you. My cold is just playing with me for a week or so before it actually goes in for the kill. But I did get some sleeping pills (two) from a doctor so maybe now i'll get some sleep for the first time in a week and be able to fight back a little.

So forgive me if this email is a little ... confused.

I'm getting out of bangkok tomorrow and headed in the direction of Cambodia. Angkor Wat (wat means 'temple') is one of the wonders of the world and so should probably be seen when one is in the neighbourhood. Because of my inability to plan I have no idea what else there is to do in Cambodia and so may end up in Laos soon.

Laos is a country with four letters, but I think the last one (the 's') is silent, as a result of the French influence there. The Canadians also tried to influence Laos by starting a hockey team there, but alas (pronounced 'Allah!!!'[1]) there was no ice. Oh come on, my jokes aren't much better when I've slept. You're the one who asked to be on this list!

On my way to this internet place I walked past a baby elephant on a street full[2] of hookers. I can't find the words to comment on this. I'm beginning to think I won't need a sleeping pill tonight.
